Health and Safety : Safety Policy Advice

The Health and Safety at Work Act etc 1974 sec 2(3) states it is the duty of every employer to prepare and revise as necessary a statement of his general policy with respect to the health and safety at work of his employees and the organisation and arrangements for the time being in force for carrying out that policy.

By working with the organisation Newcastle Occupational Health and Hygiene can prepare such a policy which would cover:

• the general statement of intent
• the organisation (people and their duties)
• the arrangements (systems and procedures for carrying out the duties).
